THE BIG GAME WILL AWARD OVER $10,000

 

(March 1, 2006 – Weirs, NH) The Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society will host “The Big Game,” a special Bingo fundraising event on Saturday, March 11th, at the Funspot Bingo Hall, Route 3, Weirs. Over $10,000 in prizes will be given away that evening and doors will open at 3:00 p.m.

“The Big Game” Bingo special will feature a $30 18-card package of 12-regular games paying an estimated $240 each. Two “Winner-Take-All” games may award over $1,250 each and the “Carryover Coverall” game is guaranteed to pay $3,000. In addition, there will be an “Early Bird Odd-Even Coverall” game sold separately for $2 per strip with an estimated jackpot of $1,800. All prizes are based on attendance.

Other cash prizes can be won through these and other pull-tab tickets sold at 50 cents each and which pay from $10 to $499. Enter to win a “Fly Away Get Away” to Atlantic City. This prize includes a two nights’ stay for two people at the Harrah’s Resort Casino and round-trip airfare from Manchester Airport. Two sets of these packaged trips will be given away. The lucky winners will be drawn at the end of the game.

The Bingo game will begin at 6:45 p.m., but doors will open at 3:00 p.m. so come early to reserve your seat. Seating is limited to 400 persons. Enjoy a catered buffet meal from Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant or a drink from the full bar provided by the D.A. Long Tavern while you wait for the game to begin.

The Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society is one of the top Bingo Charity fundraisers in the State of New Hampshire and hosts Bingo games every Tuesday and Saturday nights at the Funspot Bingo Hall. In 2005, over 15 volunteers have donated approximately 5,200 hours for this fundraising activity for the historical society.

The Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society was established in 1985 to promote and preserve the history and heritage of Lake Winnipesaukee and vicinity. Located directly on Route 3 in The Weirs one mile north of the Weirs Beach sign, the Lake Winnipesaukee Museum is open all year Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and admission is free.
