LWHS ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF TRAVEL RAFFLE

 

(April 10, 2007 – Weirs, NH.) The Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society is pleased to announce the winners of their recent Travel Raffle that raised $7,500 for the organization.

Steve Gregoire of Meredith is the Grand Prize winner of two Southwest Roundtrip Airline tickets, a $1,500 Penny Pitou Travel Gift Certificate, and $500.

Ellen Molnar of Meredith won $1,000 as the 2nd place winner. The 3rd place prize of $300 was won by Debby Montague of Gilford; and 4th-6th prizes of $100 each were won by Eva Ashton of Meredith, Clint Moulton of Belmont, and Linda Bean of Franklin.

“We really appreciate the community support received during this fundraiser, and we thank everyone who purchased a raffle ticket,” stated Ann Sprague, executive director of the Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society.

Proceeds from the Travel Raffle benefit the Lake Winnipesaukee Historical Society, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established in 1985, to help continue its mission to preserve and promote the history and heritage of Lake Winnipesaukee.

The society fulfills this mission in large part through its year-round Lake Winnipesaukee Museum, located directly on Route 3, Weirs Beach, next door to Funspot. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Admission is free; donations are gratefully accepted.
